CASL's FREE Homebuyer Workshops aim to educate prospective homebuyers on a variety of topics surrounding the homebuying process. At the end of the workshop, participants will receive a U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approval certificate. This certificate is good for up to 1 year and makes homebuyers eligible for several down payment or closing cost assistance programs. For example, HUD certificate holders could receive up to $20,000 from the Illinois Housing and Development Authority (IHDA) Down Payment Assistance grant.
